Destroyer, you surprised me with that and I had to check their website.
You know, I don't think any company should do further business with Crytic. Why? They were supposed to work with AEG to help promote the CoH CCG but when it came time for them to hold their end of the bargain, they did nothing. Like WoW CCG, Cryptic was supposed to help AEG make cards that would be useful for the MMORPG but they kept stonewalling AEG. Also, Cryptic was supposed to do something in their game for players who also collected the CCG but they never implemented that either.
It looks like they are holding back Eden Studios too. I don't understand them. Why even bother licensing if they will not hold their end of the bargain or if they give a company a go ahead to produce an RPG why they suddenly in dispute again?
I'm so glad I never got into their MMORPG (I will never get into MUDDing or MMORPG due to my college experience). I already got burnt with AEG sudddenly cancelling the CCG so I'll see how this pans out. If just the core book comes out, I'll probably pick it up though because I like the characters and the setting.

I'm most assuredly not...=) It sounds like more than just having no interest. So, is there a particuliar reason? Got me curious.... OT, Wild Talent also interests me because it seems like you can tailor a power to the way you want it to work (similiar to MURPG). The weird thing is that I'm not that big on superhero RPGs but I own 4 rpgs in that genre.

I would tell you, but I'm bound by an NDA. In fact, I've probably already said too much.

I'm a fan of the World because I play the game...I read the jumppack thing and I thought the system had potential and really wanted to see the full book...If nothing else just to read it, but I also would have had fun running it...Again, that big a fan of Paragon City...

I'll probably have the urge to convert CoH to MURPG.... When it does come out I will most definately read the book and if I can get my group together (minus 1), I would like to give it a test run. I know one person who would be extremely happy to play in it because he is a rabid fan of CoH.

Beyond Human is being made by the same company that is making the CoH RPG. Both are using basically the same system although CoH will use the more "cinematic" version.
Anyway, it looks like all their games are on hold due to their financial problems although they have said that the CoH PDF will be out before the dead tree version.

Yeah, last I heard, Thom Marion took over the writing on Beyond Human which bodes well both for its release AND the quality.

I'm glad that non of Eden's products are on my must get list or it would have driven me crazy waiting for something that is not a sure thing. CoH RPG interests me because I liked the CCG and was curious as to how they would do an RPG. I'm a huge fan of the Iron Kingdoms and it's torture waiting for more IK RPG products. Then there is Palladium and we all know how long it takes them to get a product out from the time they announce it.
