So I just picked up PULP ERA: Cinematic Adventures In The Yesteryear! by Chapter13Press. Being a fan of the Pulp genre I also have Pulp Zombies for Edens AFMBE series but I wanted to check this game out. I have only just started reading it but I really like the system and the way they approach the subject matter. I look forward to running a game of this whether it be table top or PbeM. Who knows maybe I would even run a game on here?!
Anyone else played it or seen it before? The site seems pretty dead in the water. I had to find more info on the game from various sources and finally picked up a copy from Amazon. If your into the Pulp genre definately pick this book up it is a paperback book and the cover price is $16.00US.

I hardly pay attention to indie publishers unless they show up on rpgnet or at my FLGS.
I'm game if you plan on running it.
WHat is the system like? Does it have any innovations?

Was actually able to read through it in one sitting which was pretty cool! Pulp Era covers multiple genres of pulp fiction and the system is killer simple but still very freaking cool! Very well written and very much carries that pulp feel all through the book in the writing style as well.
Pulp Era's system core mechanic is : Multiply the appropriate Attribute statistic by the action (called Stunt here)'s Style value. Roll equal to or less than the result on percentile and that is pretty much it. Just some simple math and a roll of the dice. Some Stunts are a little more complicated than stated above but the game is slick and I think allows you to really get into the action fast.
Character descriptions consist of: 6 Style statistics, 5 Attribute statistics and accompanying Merits, Gimmicks and a short list of your character's gear. There have been several printings of this but the one to get which I think is the only one available is the most recent Chapter 13 Presses version as from what I have researched is the best version as far as additional material and changes from the previous releases.
It also gives lots of sterotype's "quick style" characters to use right out of the gate or you can adapt them to your game. The GM support is spot on as well and helps those new to the whole "pulp fiction" world to really dig in and get the ball rolling.
I am really tempted to run a Batman: The Dark Knight game ala Bruce Timm animated style since it can easily befit this genre and system.
