I have few questions about playing marvel
1.How does everybody handle experiance? I myself like to use a modified version of the expeirance table on marvel-phile. It harder to gain edge on my table and you can perofrm a stunt at any time, but if you don't have the point to do it, they are retroactivley dedcuted from any points you later earn. How do yuo guys do it.
2.How long have you guy run campagins for and what are your saga campagins based around. mines new class of x-men who by now have got to the point where they're either about to graduate or have already left due to depowering, emotional issues, being kicked out or injured/killed.
3.How much do you guys try to stick to 616 continuity? I've tried my damndest and so far have only made three slip ups (only two major ones x-23 being at a house party when the comic shows her at a bus being blown up after M-day and accidentally describing sublime as black) both of which I later explained away. Do you guy try or do you just ignore things, especailly big developments like M-day or Decimation or Civil war. Do you set stories around these things? Thanks for your time X-humed

1) I don't usually award experience at all. I'll discuss any increases with the player when they want one.
2) I ran a three year PBEM, and a two or three different year long face to face games. I also use it for pick up games from time to time.
3) Not at all. I usually use one of my own universes.

1) I did the response point thing and I hated it. Now I'm more in silverlion's camp regarding XP.
2) My Sideliners game has ran, on and off, for about ten years or so. It started with Classic and is still running up to today.
3) I fold, spindle and mutilate 616 as I need for my players and their characters. I like using Stryfe as a recurring villain, so he winds up not dead. I like Quicksilver and Crystal as a couple, so they've reconciled...etc.

1) I handle experience as in the rules (with the modification of the RRGtE for Edge). The players can try a stunt their character does not have and often even try some they invented. Sometimes, they finally buy the new stunt they succeeded in. 2) My campaign runs from about one year, we play once in a month, and I intend to finish it in september. I discussed with the players and we choose to have a mutant campaign based in UK. I started with new heroes (edge 0) and now they are Edge 1-2. The main story is about Sinister, a rich man called Nathaniel Essex and a mysterious stranger called Faust. (A very interesting creation of a french site.) The heroes have been hired by Essex to promote mutants in London and fight the evil plans of Sinister. 3) I quite stick to the continuity. But if I need a special character, I use it. In fact, I essentially use the great events of the X-Men continuity. - The campaign started with OTZ. - The telepath loses her powers when the Shadow King tried to rule the world. - The last story was set in the crossover "Mutant no more". - And I prepare a Counter-X event for the next month.
