Honestly, I don't remember who posted this, but its from the Marvel Saga mailing list for converting Advanced Dungeons & Dragons to Saga DUNGEONS & DRAGONS CONVERSION TABLES Round all fractions up. CHARACTER ABILITY SCORES Ability Score D&D AD&D Strength (STR+CON)/4 (STR+CON)/4 Agility DEX/2 DEX/2 Intellect INT/2 INT/2 Willpower (WIS+CHA)/2 (WIS+CHA)/2 ABILITY CODES Class Strength Agility Intellect Willpower Warrior Sa Aa Ic Wc Wizard Sx Ax Ia Wa Priest Sa Ab Ic Wa Rogue Sc Aa Ic Wc EDGE Edge D&D Level/HD AD&D Level/HD 0 0 0 1 1-9 1-9 2 10-18 10-14 3 19-27 15-19 4 28-36 20+ 5 Immortal Power MAGIC INTENSITY Magic D&D Level AD&D Level 1-9 1-9 1-9 10 10-18 10-14 11 19-27 15-19 12 28-36 20-24 13 Immortal 25-29 14+ Immortal 30-34+ MONSTER ABILITY SCORES Ability Score D&D AD&D Strength (Size x 2) + .5 per HD (Size x 2) + .5 per HD Agility Movement/2 Movement/2 Intellect INT/2 INT/2 Willpower (Morale x 1.5)/2 Morale/2 Size Value Small 1 Medium 2 Large 3 Example: A large monster with 4 HD [(3 x 2) + 2] would have a Strength score of 8 in Marvel Super Heroes. Looks GREAT, except for the Edge conversion. Levels 1-9 are Edge 1?
Personally, I would work it up as: Levels 1-5 are Edge 1, almost all prestige classes begin at level 6 (and thus would be Edge 2). Level 9, I think should be 3, Level 20 is 4, and Level 30+ is Level 5.
Hit Dice and Level Adjustments get tricky, so I'm not sure there.

Well, this was AD&D, so Prestige Classes aren't an issue...but I would agree...for D&D3e, a Prestige Class would necessitate Edge 2, minimum, in conversion.

I always had a hard time picking up on the rules for AD&D. D&D3.5 was more my speed, mostly because I love options.
Also, I never understood why the characters had to be so restricted. And the rumor is that they're working on a 4th edition (not to be released until close to 2010), that is totally free to build your character with any concept. In other words, take pieces of any class you want, with the features costing points.
So, in some ways it would stay the same - if you wanted a character who could cast spells and was a good fighter, the points to make him would make him comparible to a 3rd edition character using a 1st level Wizard (or Druid, Sorcerer, Wu Jen, etc.), 2nd level Fighter (or Ranger, Barbarian, etc.).
Anyways - I'm going off on a tangent that I'm having a hard time following. God, I'm tired...

You might look into the Dragonlance Saga conversions first. They'd get a closer base approximation to build from (then convert that to Marvel..)
