As miniatures for a Classic Marvel game! I would say for a Saga game...but really, what's the point?
Saga just doesn't lend itself to tactical combat.

I thought of using them for the Marvel Classics or even the Marvel Universe RPG. But splatt and I played the actual game using Necromunda (Games Workshop miniatures game) terrain and wow! Does it ever change the way you play and the strategy when playing in 3D!
Very cool! And makes the powers that much more relevant to the game especially when it comes to movement.

The thing that turned me off of HeroClix was the 3 tier system. The funny thing is that it makes sense in HeroClix but not in MageKnight and MechWarrior which I collected but in which I hated the tier system in those (but loved the moveable parts in MechWarrior).

Well the thing that bothered my about the 3 tier system was that their costumes/ paint jobs should be different as well to represent various versions of them with that powerlevel. It seems they are beginning to use that idea now with some of the Marvel and DC sets.

I just want to say that although it does seem to be the general consensus that SAGA isn't made for minature play, it is possible. We've been doing it for years. You just have bolt things on, that's all.

I would agree that miniatures can be pretty much used in some form in pretty much any RPG even if it is only for showing where folks are in relation to enemies and one another.
