I'm going to post a series of powers that were listed on Dan Hamilton's MSHAG game book compilation. I can't be sure this power, and others that I will post, are by him or that he found them by someone else and added it to the file. I - and him, too, I'm sure - would love feedback on them.

GEM FOCUS
Trump Suit: Willpower

This power enables the hero to focus his or her mind through various gems, precious stones and crystals to temporarily gain new powers and stunts. The hero can draw certain innate powers from gems, and gains the powers from the particular gem type as listed below. In order for the hero to draw powers from a gem, the stone must be free from any serious flaw and in the case of crystalline stones, must be cut and polished to have a faceted/crystal appearance. Chips and slivers cannot be used, only whole stones of a crystal cut. The hero must touch the gem and make an average Gem Focus (Willpower) action. Only one power or stunt may be focused and released from a gem at any one time, at intensity equal to the Gem Focus in effect. All powers last for an aura duration. They may be made into rings or other jewelry for easy access. Gems created by industrial processes or by the use of other powers except the Gem Cutting stunt below), are only half as effective as usual (power and stunt intensities are halved.) The following gems give the base powers or stunts as below (the Narrator is free to create new powers for gems other than those listed here):
Agate: Telepathy or Mental Probe
Amber: Paralysis, Remove Paralysis, or Resistance to Paralysis
Amethyst Crystal: Astral Detection, Psychic Detection or Magic Detection
Aquamarine: Water-breathing or Water-walking
Diamond: Body Armor or Invulnerability to one source of damage.
Emerald: Invisibility with the Limit: Fools Only Creatures
Garnet: Empathy or Emotion Control with the Limit: One Emotion Only
Jade: Astral Projection or Resistance to Electricity
Quartz (Clear): Light Control or Resistance to Light
Quartz (Smoky): Illusion with the Limit: Two Senses Only
Ruby: Energy Blast with the Limit: Striking Distance Only, or Energy Reflection
Sapphire: Enhanced Senses, Radar Sense, or Sonar
Zircon: Resistance to any one-non damage causing effect.
Limit--Gem Degrading: Each time this power is used, draw a card, if the draw is positive, the gem is
undamaged; if the draw is neutral, the gem will become
flawed or discolored (halving it's effectiveness and
value); and on a negative draw, the gem crumbles to dust and is destroyed.
Stunt--Gem Cutting: The hero can mentally shape a
gemstone as if it had been cut and polished by a
professional, adding facets and accents as required. The
hero makes a daunting Gem Energy Control (Willpower)
action; failure ruins the gem permanently. This stunt
can be used to cut raw gems and make them usable with this power.
