Hey dudes, thought I'd just let you guys in aon the way my group plays this game. some are pretty standard, other are our own creation.
1.Firstly, we never reduce cards in hand. Instead everbody gets a health score it just works better.
2.We have a 'response action' phase during combat, mainly becuase the rules were so dodgy. when attacked a player may choose to dodge or counterattack. Dodging works as normal a play trying to be hit. if a player counter attacks, they instead make an attackm aginst their oppenent. However, if they don't drop their oppenent in that attack, they count as automatically been hit with a defense of zero.
3.We use maps. players can move 3 squares or six if they run, with each square being 10ft wide. Most powers and methods of movement are usable at double thier intesity except superspeed which allow movement at three times intesity.
4.Knockback. If anyone takes more damage (after minusing defense) to health than they have points of strength their oppenent may choose to move them backwards the number of squares equal to the damage delt. So if coloussus (st 16) deal damage to a guard (st3/ +1 body armour) and colossus score a 22 in attack and hits the guard The guard first is dealt 17 damage (-4 for strength and body armour) which is a good 14 points of damage. minusing the guard strength again (-3) coloussus can choose to move the guard up to 11 squares in a straight line if he so chooses.
