I play - Marvel Saga mostly. I have tried M&M but I was befuddled by the rules (really!). First or Second Edition? Either one is more complicated than Saga to be sure, but second edition is the first supers game I have seen since Saga that makes me want to play something other than Saga. (It was a birthday present, Tim, I didn't just opt for it over Hearts & Souls)

NAME: Nathan Fairchild NICKNAME: Trakx ORIGIN OF NICKNAME: I got it from the 80's movie 'Traxx', but changed a letter. This has been my on-line handle since I first started coming on-line. Though, it began as Lord`Trakx. HOME: Seattle, WA (though I live in Bakersfield, CA now) GREW UP IN: Seattle, WA (actually a lesser known city, Everett, about 30 minutes from Seattle) AGE: 26/27 Birthdate: July 15th 1979 MARRIED?: Yes KIDS: Yes, Two - Kaitlyn McKenzie (coincidently also the name of the leader of Gen 13, though she spells her Caitlyn) and Kennedy Louise. PETS: Some fish on my screensaver. I have been roleplaying since the early 90's. Back then we TRULY played just for the story of it, since we rarely understood the rules and always ended up with homebrew rules so we could just get to the playing. I play: Dungeons & Dragons 3.5 (Age of Wurms campaign) Favorite Comics: Recently, all that I've read are the Street Fighter series. I need to grab the Books of Doom series - grrrr!

Both, I got both. I became interested because of the sheer graphic quality but when I read them, I was totally confused. All those stats, and saves, and such. In the end, I couldn't explain it fully to my players (who don't speak English well and I'm the house translator) so we went back to MSHAG and the cards, which we think are nicer. If someone here could kindly explain me the rules of M&M patiently, I could possibly turn my attention to it, but I think this is not the purpose of this board...

There's got to be another place on the board to talk about it, though - if no where else, the General Discussion board.
While I'm not too familiar with Mutants & Masterminds, I am with Dungeons & Dragons - both of which use the D20 System. I can answer most any question. If you want, start up a thread and ask away.

I did slap up a Other RPGs board...though I would be far from opposed to adding a Mutants & Masterminds board.
I love Marvel Saga, but M&M is an elegant game that I am proud to own.

(It was a birthday present, Tim, I didn't just opt for it over Hearts & Souls) See I like 1E better than 2E, 2E (Regeneration for example) is more crunchy and rules heavy. I like a little give in my rules. *shrugs* And no worries on H&S if ya want it later it will be around (and hopefully GRUMBLE in print, if layout people weren't ...er..can't use that language...anyway)

Nice...so, not a roleplayer, huh? You are MORE than welcome here, but may I ask how you came to be here then? I have a friend who's moving to Argentina in May to reunite with his wife. Well, long story short, I live in a city where comics are kiddie stuff and roleplaying games are computer-only. So, I never get to play. Where's your friend going to? Buenos Aires? Pampero! Hi! You know You are more than welcome if you can arrange an online time to come visit IRC, I'll cook up a game for ya so you can play for once. You know how to reach me. That sounds great Tim- I'll see what I can do.
