Both the Dr. Banner and Major Guile arrive at their destination for the mission briefing. Dr. Harding lets all know that This is a research and rescue mission. That the area in which the lost members of Captain Heart's crew are somewhere within the heart of the Ape-men territory. The research end of this expedition will be led by her and the military/rescue end will be led by Major Guile and his forces.
To represent Capt. Heart will be Dr. Banner. Harding knows that the Ape-Men will not take kindly to their presence so it is of the essence that the lost individuals are found and fast. Dr, Harding lets everyone know that she has a guide that will meet them once they hit the edge of the Ape-men territory and will take us the rest of the way into the interior. She then asks if there are any questions before they embark?.......

Guile, wanting as little surprise as possible, asks:
"What is the nature of the research? Is it just exploration or are you seeking something specific? Also, what can we expact on the way to meeting the guide? Is the guide an expert on these Ape-men?"

Dr. Harding responds:
"Major Guile, we are hoping to collect some of the flora that is found within the area. The Ape-Men are very territorial and will not let any of our scientists into the area. However, now that there is a more legitimate reasoning to go in to their territory we are willing take the chance to come along. We will not be a burden in anyway. Also the guide is well versed in the Savage Lands. His name is Ka-Zar he is the unofficial general protector of the Savage Lands, preventing outside commercial exploitation, such as poaching and mining, as well as enforcing peace between tribes and serving as goodwill ambassador to friendly visitors.
He knows the work Stark Enterprises is doing is good not for evil but he is still wary of Mr. Stark's and our intentions but has agreed to help us in finding the lost shipmates of Dr. Banner. Again we will meet him at the edge of the Ape-Man territory. Now if Dr. Banner or Major Guile do not have any more questions we can get underway...."

"Seems pretty straight forward to me. Let's get moving. I'm on a clock here, you know, universal salvation and all. I'll take point if it's all the same to you Major."
Hulk turns and makes his way out.

"Yes, I think it is better that you take point. Dr. Harding, whenever you are ready..."

The expedition heads out into the Savage lands. Dr. Harding warns them that nothing is as it seems and even with the lands gorgeous as they are danger lurks.
"don't get use to anything and never let your guard down. Not even for a second. We need to get to the peak of that hill over there."
Harding points to the top of a sloping hill, if it wasn't covered in so much foliage one would almost think it was a mountain. Either way it was going to be quite a climb. The cool morning was quickly starting to rise in temperature as the group moved deeper into the jungle. Even the insects were starting to be a nuisance.
This trip was starting to make some already uneasy and they hadn't even hit the deepest part of the jungle yet. Harding led the way.
"We have to meet with our guide up on that hill. So lets get going before the some of the larger carnivores start their patrols."
You all didn't like the sound of that and wondered just what you might have gotten yourselves into....

(Awwww, I wish I could have joined in! ...and I wish this game got off the ground.) It still can just make sure any comments made are made on the OOC board. Thanks!

The flora and fauna is lush and rather large. Everything is right out of the Arthur Conan Doyle book; The Lost World. Dr, Harding is moving with purpose as she walks beside Dr. Banner. Major Guile right behind them keeping an eye out for trouble. Dr. Harding: "So Dr. Banner...who is it you and Capt. Heart are looking for exactly? And why would they be in the middle of the Savage Lands? I mean, this place isn't exactly the lost paradise I would want to take a pleasure cruise in as the dangers are not for the inexperienced to be navigating through?"
