I have the sad misfortune of having bought this game Then I immediately removed it from my home and called a young priest and an old priest to excercise the evil from it! But good luck to you, I hope you find a copy!

I had a copy of it once...traded it off for...something...Still wouldn't mind owning it again. It tends to go for $50 or so, though, and I'm not sure I want to pay that for it.

Is this game THAT bad? A bit more info on it would be nice....
What was the overall play like?

Well, it was a modified version of West End Games' D6 system. The biggest problem, I recall, is that it id various power levels VERY poorly...namely, Batman and Superman.
I personally preferred it to the old Mayfair game, but that's just because Mayfair had more math than I liked...=)

Well if/when I run the DC Heroes game I will try and eliminate the math as much as possible and focus more on the story/characters. But yeah I am not a big fan of heavy mechanics in a game system.

I did pick up a copy of the boxed set recently, as well as the Gotham City Sourcebook. I'm not sure the D6 system is the best fit for a supers game, but when you're an obsessive collector...

I got a copy as well, I'm pleasantly surprised by the look despite the fact they used thin/low weight paper. I think the "Legend" System is a bit better for the high end than the typical D6 system (look for target "success" die like White Wolf's games) rather than add them all up.
It has some problems to be sure however, Speed Force Death is one (What were they thinking? that doesn't simulate the Speed Force, it be more like "Oh you can be a Kryptonian, but roll Xdice if you fail you die when the planet explodes"

I wouldn't mind getting a copy of this just for nostalgia's sake. But it would be just another game that collects dust for me. ;D
