Do you still read comics? Regularly? In trade paperback form? Or have you given up on giving them your money? Or have you given up altogether and prefer to stick with what you knew, as opposed to what's available now?

I read a few titles, but not with a devout following (I mostly buy Trades and GN's and such)
Currently I picked up Blue Beetle (DC) not great but not terrible. It suffers being tied into continuity I couldn't care less about (Infinite Crisis/1 Year later blah blah)
I've been reading the Moon Knight Mini and White Tiger though.

Mostly I follow them online. I watch several forums to get a recap of the storyline from someone who's read the book. Occasionally I buy trades (collected series of comics that form part or all of a particular storyline). But since they usualy cost about $15.00-$20.00 I can't get them all! It's strange but the ones I seem to get are older ones! I have a few crossover, I have the Infinity Gauntlet and the death of Superboy storyline (can't remember the titile right now).

Trades vary in size. I tend to aim for longer better collected ones (Essentials are B&W reprint trades of older comics, and thick having anywhere from a 10+ issues)

Standard trades tend to collect appr. 6 issues, these days...but yeah, if you can handle the black and white, the Essentials are the way to go, cost-wise.

I've recently (as in early last year I think) begun collecting lots of Trades....Most recently I picked up Astonishing X-Men: Gifted and Dangerous, which were awesome (eat it Tommy..!! )...I have all the Annhilation and Civil War stuff on order and I'm looking forward to it... As for current reading, I'm limited to what we get in at the (non-comic) store I work at...Current titles are: Ultimate Spiderman Some other Spiderman (can't remember what it is, but I think it's 616) New Excalaber (I'm actually liking this series a lot...It just could be that I'm a huge Juggernaut fan, and seeing him as a struggling hero is cool) New Avengers (it may have just been the current storyline, but this is the one I look forward to the most...I'm really enjoying it...CotG art be damned, Bendis is doing a nice job on this one) Ms.Marvel (it's alright...there was a plothole in the recent Ms.Marvel vs. Warbird storyline that i didn't like so much...) X-Men (Rogue is in charge and they have a mile long ship as their base of operations..? Sounds cool...) it makes my Wednesday nights fun...Occasionally there are some issues that make me read them more than once which is cool...But as far as buying..? Trades only here...

I too have Gauntlet...It's probably my favorite...Have you looked at Infinity War..? VERY nice book that...I'm waiting to see what they do with infinity Crusade, since it was effectively 18 issues (6 Crusade, 6 Infinity Watch and 6 Chronicles)...I also have Infinity Abyss, which was basically Jim Starlin's way of tying up all the loose ends that others left with Thanos) and Thanos Quest...Thanos Quest was awesome... Death of Superman and Return of Superman are, of course, both worthy buys...

A few years ago I spent about $40 a month on comics. After quitting my job I could no longer afford this, so I stopped buying them all together. I've been thinking for a while of going the route of trade paperbacks just like you guys. I think in the long run it would be cheaper for me to do that than to actually go to a comics store and browse the racks, where I end up buying 10 things I didn't go in there for.

No Infinity War yet, though I remember reading most of it back in the day! Is Crusade a new series?

I have started getting back into comics again through trade paperbacks. I just am not into buying issues anymore after the money I spent years and years ago on single issues. Like to read a whole story arc at once now.

Frell, sorry Roman, I've been away from the boards for a couple weeks...
Infinity Crusade was the trilogy ender basically...Infinity War dealt with the Magus (and his 5 Cosmic Cubes), Infinity Crusade dealt with Warlock's Good side, The Goddess (and her 30 Cosmic Cubes)...No Infinity Gauntlet in this one, but it was 6 issues, plus 6 Infinity Watch and 6 Warlock Chronicles...
Altogether a really good series...Issues 4-6 had the Heroes fighting one another...REALLY cool fights too, although most were 2 vs. 2...Included the only fight between Gamora and Wolverine, which was way too short, but still, it was there...
When I find out if/when they make a TPB of Crusade, I'll let you know...
