Do you still follow comics?

I started collecting Spiderman comics in college when it was a $1 an issue.

Then they started to come out with variations (ie Web of Spiderman) and instead of costing me just a $1/month, it started costing me $5. I quit when they raised the price because I couldn't justify spending more than $5/month.

I have thought about picking up the Dark Tower comics based on the novel of the same name but now that comics are around $3/issue, I'm somewhat hesitant for fear of picking up others. I'm one of those notorious impulse buyers...

Maybe it would be best to wait for the Dark Tower to come out in a soft cover graphic novel format? I recently ordered up the collected issues of Alpha Flight in soft cover format. There were some I didn't have and when the newer team(s) showed up, my interests turned from comics to beer and women and Roll & Roll! LOL!

Now I am looking at getting caught up on some of the series I missed those many years ago. Also really interested in those new JLA and JLD comics by DC.
