I read in Wizard that Marvel will be making an animated Dr. Strange movie (and now that I think about it, they also meantioned this in the special features for Ultimate Avengers 2 DVD).
In any case, as I am not very familiar with the good Doctor, what should we all expect from this kind of movie and this character in general?
The only thing I know of Dr. Strange is that he was an arrogant surgeon who went to a temple to get healed of his crippling injury and then was trained to become the Sorceror Supreme. He doesn't sound incredibly sympathetic to me!
Can any of you out there 'humanize' this guy for me? Why should we care about this guy?

Actually, I think that's what they're gunning for with the film...is that Strange is completely unlikeable at the beginning. The test of the storytellers, then, is organically redeem him by the end of the film...not shoe-horn a "you're forgiven" thing on there ala Hank Pym in Ultimate Avengers 2.

Honestly, I know about as much of Strange as Roman does. And what little more that I do know is from the Doctor Doom/Doctor Strange team-up, where Strange admits that Doom would be next in line for his title of Sorcerer Supreme.
Still, if they made a Doctor Strange movie, I'd see it. I know almost nothing about him, but I have a lot of respect for him. I'm not fond of super hero magic users, but I almost make an exception in his case.
