Shadow Control stunt question

Resistance to Darkness: Your hero has resistance to darkness at your Shadow Control intensity.

What does that mean? In a dark room you stand out, with your intensity acting as the wattage?

I'm half joking, but half serious. Really, what would this do?

It means that you can resist attacks based on, using, or manipulating darkness.

You can't resist ordinary aspects of it. (Just as resistance to light doesn't make you invisible. But it would prevent sunburn and/or cancer )
