Different ways to play: cards, dice, stones...

Has anyone ever played using a different method than the Saga cards?

I've heard of using 10 sided dice, regular playing cards, Marvel Dice, and someone even said they've used the Marvel Universe RPG's stone method.

Has anyone used these? Any others? How did it go?

Do you have any links to pages that outline how to play with these variants? (Or just post the information here)

I used cards the first few times out, but my players couldn't get over the card thing, so we switched to D10's and used the Mayfair DC rule of re-rolling doubles.

It worked out ok, but in the end we switched to Aberrant and finally M&M.

I have been toying with using the SAGA cards to inject some randomness to MURPG. I haven't tried it out in actual play though.
