So I was taking a peak at the preview pdf and this game looks very cool! I think I might have to order up a hardcopy of it. Anyone else tell me more about it or have played it?

I run it quite regularly, but that probably goes without saying; since, I am the games creator. What specific things would you like to know?
The game is fairly rules light, though not as rules light as some people think from a quick read through.
You have attributes and powers (capabilities) that give you dice to roll to beat a target number. Fairly straightforward. However, having higher ranked attributes, or higher scaled attributes gives you either more "free" rerolls, or gives you a larger die to roll. (Respectively.) The catch is that if you fail at a roll, that isn't the same thing as failing at the action. You can try again! Using your characters reason for being a superhero to roll the dice again. This is why Batman succeeds a lot, or Spider-man as well (although both suffer for pushing themselves hard.) I wanted a game to be about your character WANTING to do the right thing, and risking life and limb to get that success.
So you don't need hero points, you don't need luck (mostly) to rescue little girls from an onrushing train. Nope, you just have to be willing to try hard, in character, to get there and save her.

Sounds very awesome! And I am for the Character driven style of play so I will have to order this up not only to play it but to support a fellow board Member. Is there any thoughts to follow up books? Or is it pretty self contained?

It's very self contained. It's meant for you to take it and run with it.
There are some setting examples, but I fully intend you to make your own and borrow only what you need.
I've got plans for a supplement dealing with spacefaring supers: Starjammers, Guardians of the Galaxy, Rom the Spaceknight, Green Lanterns, Dark Stars, Legion. However, its got a long way to go.
I also may do a magic book, but right now its just an idea.
I'm a slow writer these days.

Sound like some great ideas. And don't worry on the speed in which you get it out since I have been waiting on Eden to bring out something new for years it seems.  |
