I admit that Tennant is a very good Doctor, but one thing cool with the Doctor is that he changes. I liked the previous Doctor Who too but I find Tennant funnier. Perhabs the next one will have something better than Tennant...

I was told that the next Dr Who would be a black person.
It bothers me somewhat when they change well known characters too drastically. For example, when they changed the sex of Boomer and Starbucks in BSG (Although I did grow to like the show).
Dr Who can be explained because he regenerates into a new human with a different personality so it isn't a stretch. I just hope the next actor does a good job of taking on the role. Another is that I hope he isn't much of a pacifist as the last Dr Who.
I hope I didn't come of as racist.

I did'nt think you are one.
I understand that changes are difficult to accept: - I didn't like the new James Bond, but I haven't seen any of the two last films. - I found strange the Banderas version of Zorro. I cannot stop compare him with the TV show of my childhood...

I actually have no problem with changes in characters due to recasting. That's the thing about iconic characters...they are bigger than the actor...few actors realize (or want to admit) that.
