For anyone out there that uses the optional Death & Injury rules from Reed Richards Guide to Everything...what do you do if a hero with Regeneration suffers, say, a strain (recover only one card per day).
I'm leaning toward "Regeneration works as normal, except hand size is lowered by one until the day/week/month passes, depending on the severity of the injury."

OK, I looked over the rules for Regeneration and Strain. I would think Regeneration trumps Strain. There is no variation in the rate of regeneration so I would just keep it as is and justify it by thinking of Wolverine's fight with that Lady Deathstrike in the X-Men movie.

There have been a few instances in the comics where Wolverine's healing factor required him to take down time, implying a "strain" result. For example, when Donald Pierce and the Reavers were torturing him in the Outback. But this involved him taking exceptional injuries. If the referee gets a "strain" result, he can determine whether or not, in his opinion, the injury in question is comperable to Wolverine's being so tortured. If yes, some penalty ensues until the regenerating hero gets appropriate rest.

I realized that regeneration has "steps" depending on the intensity of the power. Another way of showing strain on a character with regeneration is to go down a step.
For example, if the character's regen intensity is 17, normally he would be allowed to regenerate a card when the GM draws any card with (+), (-), or neutral, each exchange. If the character is strained however, he would regenerate at a lower "step". In this case, he would only regenerate only with a draw of (+) or (-). With sprain, he would go another step down.
