Hi all, Yeah, I know I'm posting up a storm... Last night, I was thinking about how the card values are distributed in the Fate Deck. The values are roughly normally distributed, symmetric with a hump around 5. On Kenson's site, the actual average value is listed as 5.08. So, given the full deck, you expect to draw a 5 on the first draw (of course, this will change if you do not replace and shuffle the deck). I was thinking, though, that in such a heroic game, the hump/average value should be shifted higher, perhaps towards 6, with less instances of 1s, 2s, 3s and 4s and more 6s, 7s, 8s and 9s. I would not change the auras or the calling/events, just the values... My initial reaction is that both the heroes and Narrator will have higher action scores, prompting more damage. Thus, combat would be deadlier. However, heroes and villains would be able to perform more heroic actions. What do you think? Steve-0
