So I ran Marvel Saga last night... and here are the villains I used. They're based off of the Champions of the Galaxy wrestling game - www.filsingergames.com - in which I took the names and concepts and rebuilt them as supervillains. First up, stats for the race themselves...(I posted this on the mailing list some time back when I originally did it)... The Brymstonians are a race of demonic aliens from Brymstone in the Orion system of the Milky Way Galaxy. They are not conquerors. They are purely destroyers, who kill for the sake of killing. They don’t plan, because chaos is the order of the day. Based off of Tom Filsinger’s Champions of the Galaxy, the following is an adaptation of Brymstone Burning for use as villains in a Marvel Saga game. Playing a Brymstonian Most Brymstonians are inherently evil, though there could be exceptions, or the Narrator could be running an evil game. Brymstone is in a near-constant state of war with Centaurus, and Brymstone itself is like something out of Dante’s Inferno. Generate a Brymstonian is a little different than you would create another Alien hero in Marvel. Draw 1 card for each ability, and if it meets the trump suit for that stat, draw again. You can only gain one trump in this manner, however. For beginning Edge, draw a card and if it’s a NEGATIVE aura, increase Edge by 1. Starting Edge cannot be higher than 2, but my be raised higher in gameplay. The minimum scores for a Brystonian are: Strength 1 Agility 1 Intellect 1 Willpower 1 Resistance to Aging, Poison and Disease +10 Hindrance: Monstrous (You gain no card for this, and it counts against the three hindrance limit). Unlike most Marvel alien races, nearly every Brymstonian does, in fact, have at least one other power. Select a power that would fit the concept of your Brymstonian and draw a card for the intensity. Again, if the trump suit matches, you may draw 1 additional card for the power. Counting cards gained from limits, you can have no power higher than 20. Select a calling and draw a card, if it fits, you may use this card to increase a stat as normal, OR you may use it to buy a new power at the card’s intensity. Additionally, if a Brymstonian selects the Demolisher calling, they get a free card to spend anywhere except Edge, regardless of what the card’s calling or suit happens to be.

He allows his power to run rampant just for the sheer unpredictability it brings. SKILLS Brawling, Wrestling; Lore (Brymstonians), Occult; Intimidation. POWERS Body Armor +4 Disintegration 8 Immortality Invulnerability to Disease and Poison Life Support 15 Luck Control 10 Reality Warping 15 Limit: Destructive Events Only HISTORY Despite being the de facto leader of Brymstone Burning, Anarchy is actually a demon from the Fourth Realm, the realm beneath our reality, where savage, evil creatures dwell. He, Blazing Skull and Maleph are all demons, guiding the rest of Brymstone Burning without their knowing the truth. Anarchy and Blazing Skull are actually the advance guard of an invasion by the Fourth Realm, crossing through a portal to the dimension on Brymstone, where they aided Brymstone in their war with the people of Centaurus. Their reach is expanding, and Brymstone Burning is blazing a path across the galaxy in preparation for the coming of the Great Evil.

The Blazing Skull

PERSONALITY Louder and cockier than Anarchy, Blazing Skull likes to make threats and demean his opponents verbally, rather than just letting actions speak for themselves. He likes switching up his Fireballs with Hellfire bolts just to throw opponents off. Very stubborn, he refuses to listen to orders from anyone, which is fine because Anarchy’s usually okay with Skull’s brand of devastation.

HISTORY Blazing Skull actually arrived on Brymstone before Anarchy did, and quickly allied himself with the demented priest, Bishop Hell. The Lords of Fire, led by Maleph’s satanic ministrations, were a fearsome pair whose similar personalities were too similar and led to a falling out. Maleph and Skull then recruited Brymstonians Death’s Head, Erebus and Mourn to form Brymstone Burning. Anarchy joined soon after, but he quickly stole the leadership reigns from Maleph and Skull. Skull pretty much only likes Anarchy, as he thinks the true Brymstonians are inferior to him and finds Maleph to be a pompous fool.

PERSONALITY Loud. Maleph preaches chaos, destruction and the end of all worlds, and nearly constantly. While Death’s Head, Erebus and Mourn follow him with a blind devotion, Maleph appears completely unaware of the fact that Anarchy and Blazing Skull only tolerate him these days.

HISTORY When Maleph emerged on Brymstone during their war with Centaurus, he quickly became a popular figure thanks to his efforts boosting the Brymstone troops: He began reanimating corpses of fallen Centaurians as zombies in the Brymstonian army. Hordes of fallen soldiers swarmed their living brethren, providing a huge moral victory for Brymstone. When Blazing Skull murdered Centaurian hero Crossfire, he was hunted across the galaxy by the valiant warrior Archon and so he enlisted Maleph’s aid in fending off his attacker. Maleph and Skull soon decided that their brand of chaos needed to be spread out across the galaxy and not be limited to just Brymstone and Centaurus. Maleph has a particular skill for inspiring loyalty from Brymstonians, and he keeps Death’s Head, Erebus and Mourn in his service as his faithful followers.

Death’s Head

PERSONALITY Follower. Perfectly happy taking orders, and when there’s not a leader around to give them, Death’s Head’ll kill and maim wantonly.

HISTORY Death’s Head has a history as a follower, first recruited by the mad general Krakan for his schemes against the people of Titan, Death’s Head then drifted into the service of Neptunian criminal Cannibal the Headhunter. Allying with his Brymstonian brethren, Death’s Head is now a faithful follower of Maleph. He has no idea that Anarchy, Skull and Maleph are actual demons and not Brymstonians.

HISTORY Erebus has never actually shown more than rudimentary intelligence, making him a perfect target for the manipulations of Maleph. His Earth Control powers were once put to great use in the Brymstonian conflict with Centaurus, but he now directs them where Maleph says to. Erebus is unaware of Maleph, Anarchy and Skull’s true nature.

PERSONALITY Mourn never speaks, but if you can get past his monstrous appearance, he seems to have a deep sadness about him. He follows Maleph without fail, and is often abused by the other members of Brymstone Burning, especially Death’s Head.

HISTORY Mourn is another subservient Brymstonian, like Death’s Head and Erebus, though there seems to be a certain spark about him that is different. He exudes sadness, which certainly isn’t helped by the abuse his teammates heap on him. Mourn’s Sonic Scream is actually a mournful cry. Similarly, a sad moaning is how his Emotion Control is transmitted.
