I posted this to the MSHAG board back in October of 2003. I'm posting it again here for feedback. If any of you like the idea of it, please say so. If you feel it needs work mechanically, or isn't needed, etc., please say so.
I'm not sure which ability this would apply more to - I'm guessing Intellect, but it's possible it could work for Willpower. I got the idea from Dragon magazine. It was written for D&D, but I altered it to apply to MSHAG. The text is nearly copied ver batem (though I substituted "feat" for "skill").
There are a lot of heroes who would have this skill, but two that come most to mind are Batman (Gotham) and Superman (Metropolis). I'm sure you can think of others.
HOMETOWN ADVANTAGE Your hero knows the quickest routes, safest places, and most undetectable hiding spaces within his city. This effect does not work inside any building unless he has intimate knowledge of its layout (Narrator discretion). You must specify one city in which this skill applies. You can gain this skill multiple times, however its effects do not stack - each applies to a new city.

I'd call it Home Field or Area Knowledge instead...but looks good

Yeah, I think someone once said GURPs calls it Area Knowledge. I'd probably change the name to that.
Could you come up with an example of how this skill could be used well? Also, what would be the differences between having the skill at normal, master, and world-class levels?
